SAN BERNARDINO (KTLA) -- A San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy was placed on leave Friday after he was charged for allegedly having sex with a minor.I'll keep you posted as this investigation moves forward. A reminder - I post these articles to warn people. We each have to be responsible for our own safety and can't necessarily trust even a police officer. Chances are this was consensual, but not necessarily. Either way it was illegal.
According to a press release, 10-year veteran Nathan Gastineau was arrested Friday night on a charge of lewd acts with a minor.
The department received information Friday morning that he may have had inappropriate relations with a 16-year-old girl.
Gastineau, 30, a Redlands resident, was booked into West Valley Detention Center.
He has been put on leave for the course of the investigation.

This is an important reminder that it's not just step fathers, clergy, teachers, etc. Anyone could molest your child.
this is sick.. he is a justice of peace.. things like this shouldnt be happening in the first place let alone a police deputy

Sometimes I have to step away from all this because it brings me down so much. Children are not safe, what could be more upsetting than that?
