Woman sexually assaulted after accepting ride.

Woman reports she was kidnapped and raped by group of men.

These incidents have all occurred in the last few weeks.

Purpose of this blog:

I believe that education and awareness are often the first step to change. Since we are not formally educated on this topic I am here to share my personal experience as a victim, plus, all I learned during training to become a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate.

Its not a comfortable topic, but an important one. I share stories from my life and many from my local paper in Orange County, California to illustrate how prevalent this problem is. Its in your area too. Its happening worldwide.

In order to take steps to protect ourselves and especially our children, we need to LOOK AT IT. We can make a difference.
